My senegal is very peaceful, and doesn't even eat my cories. Is it just me, or when you put food in the tank, bichirs turn evil? I put in jumbokrill shrimp, and he smells it and goes crazy. He chased the cories for a bit, but then he just ate the shrimp from my hand. He even stood up to my big goldfish. Not for long, though.
