I am looking for a Polypterus endlicheri congicus. Plz just leave a reply and ill PM u when i get back on. BTW dont try and PM me i just stay signed in all the time :D
 
I too am looking for a Delhezi Bichir (Polypterus delhezi)
 
Where do you want to keep him in? Because I think non of you tanks is really suitable to house one for life, they get big too (97 cm or so).

ATM unused I have a 75Gal, with the chance of getting something larger than my 120Gal cichlid tank.
 
HOWSIT GUYS ABOUT TIME I FOUND A WEBSITE AND HOBBYISTS SUCH AS THIS,ANYBODY FROM SOUTH AFRICA?ANYWAY BIRCHIRS ARE PLENTIFUL(CERTAIN ONES)DOWN HERE AND I HAVE ACTUALLY ORDERED SIX ORNATE BIRCHIRS WHICH I WOULD RECEIVE IN 5 WEEKS TIME.IF ANYONE WANTS ORNATE,DELHEZI,PALMAS OR SENEGALESE KINDLY CONTACT AND I CAN SEE WHAT ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE :D :D
 
Welcome, it's nice to see someone from south africa! Do you live near habitat of bichir? Could you post some pics if so? That would be cool!

Both of those are WAY too small. I'd say AT LEAST 300 gallons, and that's around the bare minimum.
 
If you would make a good size tank it probably has to be 12' x 4 or 5' and 2' high.
 
Like the gentleman that posted about his RTC and got bashed, Those fish don't grow to that size overnight. So no one really knows if that fish will live it's life or die somewhere along the line. So for now, those tanks are fine. Check Rehoboth Aqautics, I think Toyin has some in stock right now. Let me know if you are ordering, I might order with you. So Cal group order....I am in Cypress
