Hey jus came from a weekend trip had a friend of mine feeding my tank all was good came back today and my delhenzi bichur has red spots on his fins and I’m concerned about what it’s from I have a tire track, a fire eel a ornate bichur and a arowana in the same tank they all got along and have been pretty docile with eachother and my parameters are all 0 what could the marks have come from24B1AC4F-A093-4BCE-A836-49EE6B6E1D6E.jpeg

First thing to do is re check your nitrates making sure you are following the instructions because my hunch is that the nitrates of your tank are not 0.
Looking at his pectoral however it looks split and ragged which could mean a few things.
1) he was arguing with someone
2) he has torn it naturally going for surface air or on a piece of wood etc
3) he is irritated by something and been rubbing
Or other options. But my first check is those parameters again using a liquid test kit.
Please also provide some details of fish sizes.

Fire eel is 6 inches , tire track is 4 inches and bichurs are same size 3 inches, my nitrates were a lil high I did a water change I’ve only seen my bichurs lip lock once but my eels aren’t aggresive they don’t pick at the bichurs they had plenty of chances and I’ve also seen the tire track eel and fire eel many times sitting cuddled up next to eachother my ornate bichur isn’t aggresive either where he would bite the delhenzi and I’ve been feeding them daily he likes to swim around a lot tho maybe he could’ve caught it somewhere but the red dots are from nitrates right?

After the water change his fins started to get less read it’s going back to his color now

Split fin. It is a little red. Clean water. You should not keep that bichir with those eels. He probably got in a fight. Bichirs won’t fight back to fish that are bigger than them.
The fire eel never attacks anyone he’s very peaceful but the tire track when he eats and after is a little ***** I jus caught the ornate bichur fighting back the tire track when he tried to pick at him I’m gonna move the tire track to my other tank jus to be safe
