has anyone seen a bifa and argenta hybrid or know of any pictures I have a femal bifa and can get my hands on a male argentea for nothing both are 10+ inches i was just wondering what I would end up with if assuming they like each other. ya know, food or new pet kind of thing lol.

I've never seen and Argentea hybrid of any kind, but vieja hybrids usually look pretty good. I just saw Jeff Rapps has some large argentea listed. Might want to give him a shout and try for a good male.

Crossing a perfectly good argentea with a perfectly good bifas, is like boinking your sister, it will produce nondescript mutts that people will have to post "ID this please" and no one will be able to.

Never seen.

Agree with Duane. Fish are so different that unusable mutts would surely be the end result

Never know unless you try! Look at Loureyes thread on a black belt x thai silk cross. People said it would be ugly but he proved them wrong.

Hahaha well said, but I wouldn't mind seeing an Argentea cross to satisfy my curiosity...don't want it in my tank though lol

There are no recorded Argentea hybrids and no cases of interbreeding as far I as I can tell. Bita hybrids on the other hand are much more common. Bifa hybrids common get sold as Synspilum over hear.
