I have 13.5" male bifa that breeded with my 9" female syn. do any body no how these fish would turn out, i have pictures of my male bifa under (13.5 male bifasciatus) in the lounge
I dont know how they will turn out, however, if ever you do sell the fry, I suggest you clearly distinguish them to any buyers that they are a hybrid fish.
I'm sure you'll end up with a mixed looking batch. You'd have to grow them out to see.
I actually have wrigglers from my male Synspilum & my female Zonatus right now.
Also IMO you shouldn't sell/ trade/give away them. If you wanna grow some out. Use them to start a flowerhorn project.
yeah i do'nt plane on selling any, but it was something that just happen and the thing about that, is i bought the 9" female syn as a male so i was shock
These fish are everywhere. They're usually marked as Synspilum. That name sells to the not so experienced hobbyist. They look promissing as juvies but dont amount to much after years of feeding and caring for them. In the end you dont have a Synspilum or a Bifasciatum. You have a hybrid.
