Alright people I think this is not promotional in any sense so I should be able to get an answer.

What dont you like about Big Al's
What would you improve Big Al's

What do you like about Dr. Fosters and Smith
What dont you like about Dr. Fosters and Smith
What would you improve Dr. Fosters and Smith?

Overall What are your thoughts about both of them?

Thats what i think

I have bought from both, and I prefer DR FOSTER SMITH. I can't even really say way, but I just have always had great experience from them. And my fish HATE Big Als cheap bulk dry foods... I had to throw them away. My fish wouldn't touch that crap.

It depends on what you're buying. I order from both, but far more often from Drs. Foster and Smith's, which I like better. IMO, Big Al's is generally cheaper on equipment, like HOB filters, but has less selection than DFS, especially of wet/dry related stuff. DFS has Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets in bulk, which Big Al's does not. DFS has better customer service, IMO. I like the shipment tracker e-mails they send me. Also, Big Al's is Canadian, so they don't pronounce their vowels correctly. ;)

I've been a loyal customer of Drsfosterandsmith for 3 years and has not had a problem at all.

Orders usually arrive within 5 days and very well packaged. Never had a defective merchandise from that business either.

Bigals all the way and then petsolutions, thatpetplace and then fostersmith, as for the bulk food who wants 22lbs of fish food lying around, and who pays 200$ after shipping to have it.

yep

sometimes DFS has a a product cheaper then BA's, and vice versa.

LOL! at the last part

For me, BigAl's is good for re-stocking filters and chemicals. The food prices are okay and the shipping requires patience. On the flip side though, I have never purchased from DFS. I'll have to try them soon with my next re-stock order.

By the way, a re-stock order for me is mainly filters for several ehiems, tetra and marine filters. I have 8 tanks running right now.
