I have a 30" Black in my 300 and have had him for a little under a year i guess.. It took me almost a month to get him to eat anything at all and once i did the only thing he'd touch was Tilapia fillets.. He has never touched one pellet/stick i've ever thown in the tank since i've owned him, he won't even touch krill or frozen bloodworms or nothing..:screwy: He has now went on a feeding strike and has maybe eaten 1 chunk of Tilapia in the last 1-2 weeks.. What can i do to get this guy eating again ?? I drop food in the tank and he acts like it's not even there. It's starting to piss me off that he's not wanting to eat. I even have small fish in the tank (2-3" cons and geo's) and he's never even tried to take one of those down??
Thanks in advance for any help..:)

aro's do get on hunger strikes, loosing any and all interest in food.

What is the temps? I would up it a bit ( 30 Cº ) and stop stressing you or the aro.

do not throw food in the tank for a couple of weeks.

Hopefully not the same fate that me and others have had. I started noticing that the tail started drooping and the next day .....dead.

I guess i'll just hold out until he's ready to eat, and hopefully not the same end result as you Keepin.. Right now temps at 80-82.

Water is fine, i checked saturday.. Ammonia 0, Ph 7.4, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10ppm.. I hope i got the Nitrate and Nitrite in the right order, i always get them confused..lol
