I watched a film on prime last night called "Snowden". It's a true story of the computer whizz kid who worked his way up the CIA ranks to develop complex programmes to watch for global terrorist threats.

It soon became apparent to him, to his absolute horror, just how far they were prepared to go to catch people out, and he became a whistle blower, putting himself in huge danger.

It was astonishing, though not entirely surprising, that the technology they'd developed could hack into any phone call, any text message and any computer web cam anywhere in the world!

It really was a case of big brother's watching, should you inadvertently use one of their "watch words" whilst innocently texting your mum or speaking to your girlfriend on your mobile.

And I have no doubt that this activity still goes on, whether it's the Russians or the Chinese, or whoever.

It seems the forum mods are watching us, but big brother could, or is, watching us all!!!

Rather disconcerting!

....disconcerting indeed,I think I saw that film a while back.

There was one particularly funny moment. President Bush was in administration at the time and two of the "watch words" they used were "destroy" and "Bush". If those two words came up anywhere, on any global media platform, or phone call etc etc then these super computers they'd developed would tap into the whole conversation.

One guy had text his wife or girlfriend informing her that he was going to "destroy" her "bush" when he arrived home. And of course the CIA alarm bells went off.

I bet George heaved a huge sigh of relief, lol.

Ironically, Snowden didn't work for the CIA. He worked for Booz Allen, a contractor for the CIA: https://www.theatlantic.com/nationa...unt-snowdens-personal-life-full-swing/314400/
