I love cat fish and I'd love to get an RTC because they just look awesome but sadly I cant house one at full grown size so I'm looking to get one that gets to about 15 inches or so for my 260gallon indoor pond and need help finding one. I don't want to go with anything much smaller or my turtles might eat it and too much bigger and I may not have room for it or my turtles might get eaten. I know they will eat just about anything.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

from how you word did that it sounds like your saying you want a mini rtc? or do you want a 15''rtc??? or just a big cat but doesint get bigger than 15''

What kind of turtles? You sure they won't bite fish at random?

Lima Shovelnose fits the bill for your needs afaik. Sorubim Lima.

Two interesting fishes at the size you are looking for...

Synodontis Frontosus (not an easy to find fish! However, a very cool fish!!!)
Columbian Shark (barackish)

Some smaller spicies that might also work....

Futherfin Synodontis (8-9 in.)
Striped Raphael catfish (9 in.)
Chinese Algae Eater....preferably Gold (10 in ....usually much smaller but in a 260gal, I believe it can reach full size)

.....PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TURTLES....so check the compatibility! :)

They are red eared sliders I've had gold fish in with them and they don't really go after the gold fish at their size or bigger so as long as the cat fish stays around their size or gets bigger then them it should be fine with them

Any cat fish around 15 inches give or take a few inches.

I have a beckett pond filter rated for 350 gallons I know most cats are messy and so are turtles to an extent so I may need to upgrade or add another filter but we'll see when the time comes. As for price range just about anything tho the more pricey ones I may have to save up for

well you could go with a few cats the only problem i could see is the turtles biting there wiskers off... marbel sailfin is one how wide is the tank ? most cats reach 24'' or more most of the pim family of cats could go good with them ive had a spotted pim with my turtles for years and never had problem hes 12'' long. some of the synodontis family of cats is also an opition. is there anything you had in mind? or you could build a big indoor pond like i did for my rtc's

Thats a good point I didn't think at all about the wiskers. Its a 6f circle about 15inches deep. Eventually I'll be able to build a big pond but at the moment I'm living in my parents basment

you could get a tiger shovelnose they only reach about 36''-38'' and 15'' is deep enough for them
