Due to tornadoes in NC, we didn't go visit my fiancee's family. So we went to the reptile show and after walking around it three times, underwent the grueling task of deliberating which kind of snake to get...GTP or carpet python? For various reasons, mostly non-financial (the GTPs we were looking at were only $250), we decided on a carpet.
Now, which one? urgh, that's even harder. We ended up with the only 07 carpet at the show, a female of unknown type and lineage, which is okay with me since I'm not going to die if I don't get a 100% guaranteed locale from one of the well-known breeders. I have a feeling she's a coastal, but I suppose we'll find out over the next year.
ooooh I'm excited, since whenever I go to a reptile show, I have to leave with something or else I feel bad. And even my fiancee, much less of a snake person than I (she used to think of Satan when she saw my corn snake), is planning on getting either a white-lipped python or a GTP at the Columbia show in November (the one in June unfortunately falls on our wedding day. how about that.)
all in all, it was a damn good day.
