Even though they can take on preys their size and bigger, it's not recommended.
This is being too cautious but try taking out the back legs of the cricket off first, they can kill or inflict some nasty wounds.

If you look more closely at the picture, you should, like everyone else, realise that the back legs have been removed.Mad About Cichlids;2446999; said:
