Big delhezi chomps little del's head!

I picked up a pretty good looking cb del and my larger del chomped his head...His whole head was in his mouth and the little bugger had to wiggle out..He seems to look ok..I don't see any cuts or bite marks..I also have another del and buettikoferi of same size and he don't mess with either of them...the little guy came out of a,tank with electric blue dempsies...Did he smell like fish or something? I was pissed cause this is the best looking dell I have had! I took his bigass out and put him in another tank.

u got lucky my del did that 2 a channel cat b4 crushed his head and killed him

I fed them before he went in.

It is a simple case of predation since bichirs are predatory by nature and the rule in the wild is big fish eats small fish.its a good thing though that your delhezi managed to escape the jaws of death.Goodluck sir on your bichir keeping.happy fishkeeping sir!

the same thing happen to my delhezi when i put him in the tank. my ornate came and chomped on his head but he got away.
