I bought a discus at a GCCA (greater chicagoland Chiclid Association) fish swap. I bought i from a reputable discus breeder. He said she was eating mainly blood worms and flakes, and some color granules. WHen ever she takes a bloodworm she spits it back out. Water temp. 85. Ph 6.8-6.9, other than every thing is perfect. She has been in the tank for about 3 days. THanks any help will be apresicated.

Did you get it from J? If so, are you putting the blood worms in frozen? I think you need to defrost it a bit. Just hold it in your fingers in the water and let it fall apart.

I dont no the guys name but it wasnt JJ's or windy city

i take a small container and put a small amount of tank water in it and drop the cube of food in, let it thaw and then feed. you could also use one of those blood worm stainers deals. some fish like that. just some thoughts

woOw good looking discus u got there? what kind is that?
Its a mix between some kind of pigeon blood and they really dont no the other color i think it part of the turquise familey

Those came from JJ. I was at the show too. He feeds live food sometimes and your fish might not be used to eating cold food. Might give him brain freeze. Just let it warm up a bit and feed him.

He does look good.
