Hi,

At 16 inches and above, are you Endlicherris still really actively swimming?
or do they just want to lie around? I'm not sure if I'm just paranoid, or if i should be worried about my Endli.
He's 16 inches now. about 3 weeks ago, he suddenly swam and lost his balance, But i was ablt to treat him.
I've added a heater into the tank, but last night I noticed he was shedding some slime, I did 30# water change and added some salt.
Tonight no more slime shedding, But i do notice he likes to just stay motionless?
not sure if this is normal Endli behavior? or am I just being paranoid?
Tested no Ammonia, PH at 7.5

thanks.

thanks.
mine is about 17 inch and his still very active , it all boils down to the character of that particular pice of endli and staying motionless is a normal behaviour just look out for swimming posture otherwise water is good fish is good cheers.

Polypterus when they get bigger it takes more energy so it may just be size. but really i don't think it is but it's just possible things. i have 5 inch bichirs that like to just sit around and do nothing so maybe it's just chilaxing for a little while. as for the slime shedding it might have brushed up against something. But until you see like flesh or blood bichirs are really hardy and i really wouldn't worry.
