Of course we would all LIKE to have a bigger tank ideally, but REALISTICLY sometimes we have to settle for something a little smaller due to other circumstances(money, space, etc.)

I just put a deposit down on a 450 gallon acrylic today (96x30x36) and plan to house my 5 Pbass in there along with a silver Arrowana, Jag, Shovelnose Cat, a Clown Knife or 2 and possibly my Oscar. Here is the tank:

FWIW, the guy in the pic is over 6ft tall.

So will it work with those fishies? :naughty: If not, I figured I could keep either the Jag or the Oscar in the 75 with the Knife.

it will indeed work for quite a while. Eventually the tiger will outgrow the tank.

I guess I will just have to build him/ them a pond at that point:D
how big do those cats get?

expect 4 feet in home aquaria. 3.5-4

Oops, Guess I should have clarified, its actually a Lima Shovelnose. I guess they only get to about 2 ft max?

ah ok. Limas will get around 2 feet.. but it takes a long time.

Good luck

You should get a lot of limas. I heard they are cool pack hunters.

I have never thought about that. That would be pretty cool though!

It will work for a while..but eventually things will get a bit cramped.
