Very much south..
Guys, I was given by Mfker Filiportela a so called Big eye cat, Chrysithis Furcatus (?)

I hardly find any info besides Axelrods guide...any info, anyone?

Remember a chapter in old catfish atlas (TFH) on breeding this sp ;)

THey are gorgeous is all I know, good luck with them. I know there is some good info I was reading one time, but not sure where. Maybe scotcat.

I found nothing beyond size ( 650 mm ) and african origin...

Could you guys help me dig deeper? Please?

Thank You Wayne. Mine is black like the one pictured in Scotcat...but the doubt lingers, Scot Cat refers to 28 centimetres, the other sources state 65 to 70 centimetres...

There is so little about them..if indeed it grows big, must look awesome in the future...

I have had the sp on scot cat before got to about a ft long before i got rid of it, cool fish with huge mouths, had to pull a 8" Chrysichthys ornatus out of its mouth that it tried to eat but got stuck, luckily they both survived the ordeal.:)

Just had a quick look on fishbase, really wouldn't go off there sizes, and fish pictured looks like Rita sp ;)
