Big Eyed Squirrel Problem

Alright, I am taking care of some Big eyes and on one or two of them they have what appears to be bubbles in the eyes. almost like air bubbles are trapped under the lens of the eye. anyone ever encounter anything like this or know what might possibly cause this?
The tank is quite large (7500). Water conditions have been bad in the begining but we have cleaned it up and keep the nitrates down around 40 - 60 ppm. was very bad before. There has been a spike in ammonia but we had some fish death and I am not sure how long they have sat in the tank before I found them for sure tho under a week. any help?

popeye is a condition not a disease.It's from bad handling with a net or it's bacterial from poor water conditions. There is no medicineal cure. But it might get better with improving water conditions and dimming the lights on the tank.

no no it looks like air bubles trapped in the eye itself.

only way to treat what your talking about is perfect watter conditions. I see it often when i inport or collect fish with big eyes. If not treated the top of the eye will pop and the fish will be alive for 2 or 3 day's more till it die's from the insident.

Well, do you have anywhere to move them? It could be popeye but that would be the whole eye. Improve water conditions. Those nitrates are still pretty damn high.
