So i've had this baby for around 6 months. He is a wild caught specimen around 17" now, he was 14 " when I got him. When he first arrived the guy starved himself for a month and half. I thought he was going to die on me, very stubborn eater, he refuses till this day to even try nibbling at a pellet ... He eats tilapia chunks maybe 2 pieces at most when is feeding time. But 2 months ago I found his favorite meal ! He goes nuts !!!! for Big fat juicy earth worms. So I bought a 100 batch of them and currently keeping them in a nice container with food , water etc. but now the guy don't even want to eat tilapia, he just wants his worms . Its fine with me, since they're nutritious , but am I doing the right thing for only feeding him earthworms? Any long term down side to this? If a better food out there lmk and how to wing him to it. Don't say prawns etc, atm he's only eating earth worms. He won't take nothing else

Get one of those worm plumper thing or a hypodermic needle of a larger size and fill the worms with crushed pellets. The smaller the needle the finer you'll need to crush the pellet. I had to do this for a shovelnose sturgeon he wouldn't eat anything but worms so I crushed hikari sturgeon and plumped some worms. I keep whatever crawlers I catch from the yard in a 40 gal tote filled with dirt in the shade. Maybe change out 1/4 of dirt once a month pull them into the shed when it's winter. Feed them that worm food powder. I would say mixing his diet is important for long term health.

Nice suggestions o have a lap that is doing the same thing...kind of je wont eat anything
