Big Female Small Male

Will this be ok???

Keeping a female that is twice the size of the male???

I always heard large male with smaller female, but what if its the other way around??? Will the female beat the male to death???

You should always try to have the female 1/3 the size of the male. If the female is too big she will kill the male. If the male is too big he might kill the female. Generally when breeding the females tend to be more dangerous. That is my experience anyway.

females are NASTY mean and will fight with a male of the same size for a long time before she will breed with him. the male needs to be big enough to dominate her quickly or they will injure each other. with a female larger than the male, i will have to agree that she will kill the male.
