Anyone care to recommend a name brand sump or wet/dry that pumps a heck of a lot of water filter system that you can buy, dont feel like making one and dont know how. Want to buy one the first time, learn about them and later when it wears out build one years down the road.

If I wasn't building one I'd go with Pro Clear, they rock.

Eheim canister filters are nice...

I don't like wet/dry filters in freshwater tanks. You get a lot of biofilm growth and it can turn septic or even mold under the wrong conditions. That said, they work great in saltwater.

Just my opinion, I know lots of people like wet/dry filters for freshwater.

DIY filters make some great W/D's. Check out e-bay, they have some on there.

seems like you guys like the pro clear alot. does anybody use them and have any comments about them. thanks.
