Pair of Firemouths. In a 55 gallon 6"-7" fish look pretty big and they look fantastic. Their personalities and looks make them one of my favorite.

if you have a standard 55G that means a 12" width which means 6" or 7" of fish.
something like a severum or convict will work.

Elongated piranha, red wolf fish, gulper catfish, large group of exodons.

+1 there is also a giant bumblebee catfish, big catfish attitude and smaller size... a flowerhorn is also a good suggestion for a wetpet although most get 10-12 inch, a bonsai flowerhorn would probably be a better fit.... what about a bluewhale catfish aka candiru
