My daughter just bought a tank with five large fish: 2 pacu, 1 oscar, one that she says sounds like "meganues chinchilla," and a "canapsis" pleco. I've tried googling everything possible that might bring up similar names but apparently haven't gotten close enough to them. If anyone knows what they are, please let us know.

"meganues chinchilla"-- most likely parachromis managuense, it's a cichlid
"canapsis" pleco"---can't tell you

pics would help

oh man....hope you have room for those pacu....

the first i am guessing is a jaguar cichlid, as far as the second umm like pdbrady said, put up some pics, and then we should be able to ID them.
Hope you have a massive tank and GL

No, she's going to sell them or trade them at a LFS because we know the tank is way too small, only 75 gallons. She just wants to know what they are so she can tell people. Not likely to get pictures anytime soon but if we do I'll post them. One of the pacus has already died on moving day so we're going to try to re-home them ASAP. Thanks for the help!
