Big heater small tank

I have a 6 gallon tank, I was wondering if it would be ok to put a 200watt heater in there?

You should be fine, have it on a very low setting and monitor the water temperature closely.

No need to set it low. Set it to the desired temperature and it will shut off when that temperature is reached.

It's just not going to take as long to hit that target temperature as a smaller wattage heater.
