Big Honduran Red Points

Hi everyone, I picked up this HRP a few months back, and it is the largest one I have seen so far. He is about 5.5" tl. I have heard mixed things about how large these sub-species of convicts can grow, some people saying they only get to about 3", others say the same as convict at 6" max. I was wondering if anybody has a larger one or has seen pics of one? I really like this fish, the pics are kind of crappy (because he doesnt stop moving) and don't capture his color. Really has a light blue sheen all over his sides, similar to those thai silk flowerhorns.

So, anybody have a bigger one?

this guy looks amazing. I've just begun my dive in to the history of Convicts and am considering purchasing some from Rapps... just don't know which collection point I would like or if I'd like an HRP like yours more.

I've had them get 5". I have a female now that is easily 4".

Whoa, that is a gorgeous male cichlidfish! Mine doesn't seem to want to eat enough to bulk up and get chunky like that, yours is a bruiser

My male is about 5"Tl. He's only about 8 months old so id imagine he should get around 6". Used to have some beautiful colors like cichlidfish's and then he paired up with a 3" female convict and lost them. If their fry is out of the aquarium he gets the colors back. He's a bruiser, acts like a mini Midas.

Nice fish, we don't come across these often here I took mine to an lfs different from where I brought him and they didn't know what he was
