I was at a fish store that i normally dont get around too visit, and they had silver aro`s and silver big mouthed aro`s. They looked just like a normal arowana other than their bottom jaw pretruded above the the top "line"( the back of the fish) of the aro.
Never seen them before, and never seen a pic online, just wondering if they are common ?
All the fish where around 4-5 inches long

Sadly did not take any pics, but will be going down there there again within 2 weeks or so.
They 3 of them, and 2 "normal" in a large tank. tought they migth be a bred feature ?

Thanks Koji, just did a google search and it seems to be what i saw at the fish store.
Looked very wierd, was about ½ inch above the head of the aro.
First thing i tought when i saw them, was that if they banged into the glass with some speed that their jaw would break :(

PLJ is something which is a kinda deform the fish born with.

dont even tell me they were selling them for a higher price like they were a new species or something...

i went to my lfs yesterday, and they have an aro that was being kept in a 60 gallon tank, with a gar. it had drop eye, no fins (none at all), and its bottom jaw stuck out almost 2 inches:WHOA: it also had nasty fungus or something on its head
