big plec big attitude

ive had my pleco for around 8 years since he was small he is now about 17" and is living in a 200g with some 6-7" cichlids an he has turned into a psycho he use to live with much larger fish an was never a problem, has he become aggressive due to the smaller size of his tank mates also i have a large piece of wood in the tank which i have recently put in could the smaller swimmin area cause aggression also. cheers guys

Is he damaging the other fish? It may well be a territorial issue. You could try rearranging the decor to see is he claims a smaller area.

ye is roughing em up nothing to bad atm am planning to change the setup at the weekend dont really wana have to get rid of him but if he goes for my new snakehead i mite have to.

It could be the other fish are in his way so he fights back.

I have big plecos with cichlids from the same rivers and never had a problem. It could just be the mix of fish you have don't work with him.
