Big Polypterus Senegal

Went to LFS today and saw a Polypterus Senegal, very common fish I know, but this one was approx 9", rarely ever seen them at this size! I've only seen like 3" ones for sale, I didn't buy it but now I wish I did! A few months pumping it up it should be a beast of a Senegal!

Nice, ill get it if i were you. In my lfs ive seen some that are 8"-10" sen, but most of them are rehomed fish from previous owner, here in san francisco alot of people buy fish that they dont even know, houses here in san francisco are small so most people only have a 55g tank or smaller, and when you go to a lfs you'll see a cute 1" sen then they grow out the owners tank.

There was 2 of them one was a tiny bit smaller hiding at the back! Wonder if that was a female

Wharf Aquatics? See a tigerfish body in the last pic. Seems to get cool polys and fish. How's this place?

It's not from wharf although I have brought many things from wharf before! It's a 6 hour round trip to Wharf!

Im not from the uk. Lol. In the Northwest of US. Wharf is the only place I know in the UK.
