umm i wanna know what a filter does for water. how does it put oxygen in it or what...

only certain filters put oxygen into water like HOB filters and wet/drys. It all has to do with the agitation of the water

well mine just sucks the water in and spits it out...

On an HOB, the water flowing out creats a lot of surface agitation. In tanks with very little surface agitation, they use air stones. The bubbles create a current under the water and when they pop they create surface agitation.

lima possibly its whole life, TSN and RTC maybe 8 months but as scriving said I wouldnt even go there

THe best personality would come from the RTC IMHO a lima doesnt have that good of a personality, maybe go with an Odoe pike? those have great personalities
