I meant to do this with the wife's SLR but the battery tray is broken off and the battery is missing so cell phone for now, I'll get some better ones when the new cover/battery come in.
Lots of things going on over the past few months but I'll get the bad out of the way. After about a year in captivity I finally got my flower switched over to pellets and she was my absolutely most aggressive feeder. About a month rolled on and I woke up one morning to find her dead in the tank, no warning signs, no parameter spikes. She even ate the night before without issue. I wish I new what happened for sure but she has been the hardest fish for me to keep by far.

So now lets move on to the next thing, I spent the better part of January putting together a 12x4 plywood tank with big plans for some new rays (I'll get to that group soon) but in the short term I found a nice trio of Motoros in the classifieds from a semi local MFKer and struck a great deal to get them including a female super spot.

Now for the next part of the adventure, the imported rays. Original order had a pair of tigers and a pair of jags but that ended up becoming a trio of jags and a pair of tigers. Unfortunately only one tiger was shipped and he ended up being DOA at 12 inches. Absolute stunner too.
Pic from down south.

The 3 Otorongos I got in are so far doing fairly well, big male is over 17" disc and is eating a little earthworms and just too ghost shrimp today. Big female is 14" and has been very finicky with eating, ate a little bit of earthworms and black worms day 1 but nothing since until today when she took to ghost shrimp. Little female is around 9 or 10" and has is feeding on earth worms and shrimp. Still a huge watch out here and they are camping in the 12x4 by themselves for now.
These pics really aren't doing any justice to the rays, they are incredibly vibrant and the female has an incredible amount of small specking/marbling or somethign in between her spots.

Finally I'll close out with the rest of my stock
Big hybrid in the back didn't want to come out for pics (Hybrid from Mike B)

Bd/leo is about 9" from Mike B at CODISCUS
My mantilla group (male bred by JohnG about 4 years ago) Front right is a 9" female bred by me last year, mantilla in the back is a w/c male I picked up a while back.

Now for whats next, as I mentioned earlier I was missing 1 tiger from my original order, well due to losing my flower in the middle of the order process and the tiger coming in DOA I'm switching things up and will get two additional castexi or oddball females in the next order instead, hopefully around 10" each.
Thats all for now, I'll get some good SLR pics soon.
