BIG RED?!

hello all, any one know how big a red devil can get in an aquarium?

it says 30cm on books and internet but the biggest i've seen in real life is about 10"?

if anyone got pic that be great!

I've seen bigger than that, my friend has a female that's about 11-12". I even saw a male that was probably a little more like 13-14", but it was probably an old fish... Certainly over a foot in good conditions. Here's one of my big males who is well over a foot (wild Amphilophus labiatus imported by Jeff Rapps):

my LFS has one thats prob about 14". he's the display fish

14" max size,but 12-13 is more the norm for males(of course some individuals may exceed the norm from time to time)
