Big Royal Teeth that don't scratch acrylic

I have several 12" - 14" Royals that have never scratched my acrylic tanks. I'm sure they could if they wanted, but I keep them well fed.

Great fish. unfortunatley I am thinking of getting rid of mine, he is defenitly scratching my tank up, making sawdust out of driftwood that vollects in sand and filter bags and craps constantly. Is there another type of pleco that will each alage but not be such a nuisance?

you should try rubber lips. Stay small and pretty peaceful.

That's like saying I'm going to get rid of my silver aro because he is constantly swimming back and fourth at the top of my tank. Lol thats what plecos do, especially panaque species...

Yes, I have a 2" one and he destroys bog wood all day long
