right i was doing research on a home theater system i was wondering anyone got exp with projectors who can push me in the right direction with my research.

What size screen, how far will the projector be from the screen, do u want to front project or rear project. how much ambient light is in the room. What price range.
the screen will be around 72 inch wide, i have about 14 feet to play with id prefer wide screen format, i would like to have input from a sky box ,a pc and an xbox 360 will be roof mounted ,and budget is 200-500 on the projector so between 400 and 1000 dollars.

Ok, how much light is in the room, lots of windows, light sources, other tv/computer screens? Are u willing to put up Good light blocking window coverings so you can use it during the day... But 2-500 is a little low end(buting new of course, you can always go used) I need to know about the light so i can give you an idea of what lumen size youll need
i could go higher if needed by possibly 200 pound more just by then worried it wont be cost effective compared to a large tv.when in use there will be no other light and i have a blind which can create near total darkness.

Alright, now that that parts explained. I genralize functionallity. Look for One that has ceiling mounts, remote, and keystoning features. Most come with 3 inputs but it will be a pain to run all that cable, so id get a video swith of some sort and run one set of cabels from that to the projector.
