but hes kinda small...

any idea what i can feed this little guy to make him grow fast? so i cant keep him with my other senegal

I'd separate them if I were you. Maybe it's just the angle of the picture, but that little guy looks like he'd fit in in the other sen's mouth.

I don't know what would boost a senegal's growth, but I feed mine a mix of carnivore pellets, beefheart plus, bloodworms, live crickets, and he eats my knife fish's tubifex cubes.

You better keep that larger one well fed, your smaller one looks to be an easy meal. I would think lots and lots of pellets would make it grow fastest but be prepared that they all don't grow at the same rate.

yeah there not in the same tank anymore dont worry lol

the little senegal was kinda an impulse buy and i didnt realize how big mine was
....oooppppssss

Best is a varied diet. Break up some Massivores, Tilapia, and Shrimp would be good. And clean water! Keep up on water changes;)

if i go with sand

but the two filter on my tank make so much current that its would be kinda hard to keep it from flying around

i was thinking bigger river rocks kinda

well i feed the little guy some Massivore (sinking pellets cause there smaller) and it ate within it being in the only a minute or some and now its it caseing all the feeder fish around ahahha i hope he gets mean

Bloodworms and Feeder shrimp have always worked in the growth department for Bichirs with me. Clean water and plenty of space though is also important.

I'm actually keeping a 4" Bichir with a 10" and 8" Bichir and oddly enough, the 4" Bichir is the boss of the tank. He's the most active, quickest, and always steals the food lol. But as long as your guys are all well fed they should be fine.

yeah hes small right now and i think il give him a month and see if i can get him to grow a bit so i can put him with the others

btw im changing the white gravel to bigger river rock its half done
