Looks like fun! Not trying to derail but I may be having a momentary lapse of sanity. I'm thinking of adding another pacu to my tank. Liz, talk me out of it.

Thats not fair .. how can i talk you out of it..i want you to join me in the "agony and the triumph"... This morning i was in my other fish room which the wall backs to pacu tank and i heard baboom..bang!! I walk in and there was water all over the floor and all over the door and of course splattered on to the glass of the other tanks in the room.. and they are giving me these big sad eyes.. i did'nt do it.. it was him!! I amagined they were pointing to the african.. haha.. if you have a tank big enough to handle these guys go for it.. they are the gentle giants of fish..

i don't mean to be rude , but pacus have got to be the most ugly/worthless fish I've ever seen and kept, again sorry, just my opinion. I guess I just don't understand them.

well what fish is your favorite... i am sure someone will think that one is ugly too.. but to me they are all great big and small and monster aggressive or gentle.. so i will like your favorite too..

no they get along wonderful..one is slightly more out going {probably the male} and he pushes the female in the direction he wants etc..but they grew up together.. i do not know how it would be for a grown pacu to except another..would it be a baby.. as long as you have not fed yours live food i am sure it would except a little one fine..or maybe even a larger younger one.. mine have no aggression what so ever.. but it depends alot how they were raised.. you have the room wow!! I just want to add that mine are 8 years old and had them since they were
