I was at Nordstrom this afternoon.. just passing by.. Normally i dont like to be inside nordstrom.. except for the hot chicks in the store.. lol... :D

I happen to pass by the cosmetic section.. something i hate to be around cuz why does a guy need to be around there right? When i saw a huge sign that says "LA MER" and under was this.....

I couldn't believe what i was seeing in front of me.. It looked like a moving picture for awhile... until i saw the thermometer on the left coroner... I was like WHOA.. no way...:WHOA:
Anyways.. I recovered immediately and started looking at their stock.. it was all mostly african.. with a few synodontis zebra, I couldnt make out another African cichlid.. but it was very white in color and somewhat blue/silvery...

The tank from what i was eyeing looked like a 100 Gallon, with a overflow in the middle.

I later asked the lady what "LA MER" is a German cosmetic company... and the cream's ingredients are made from proteins from the ocean... so hence the symbolism for the fish tank setup..

So i'm just curious if anyone has seen something similar and if u have any chance u can post pics of other setups of La Mer from Nordstroms?

Also, what do u guys think of this setup??? 1-10 SCALE?

Nordstrom in Southcoast Plaza has a saltwater setup in the children section. It's Nordstrom decoration, not La Mer! :grinno:

They probably did it from a maintenance standpoint.

Maybe.... it does look very nicely done.. and i have not seen a saltwater setup in nordstorm.. i heard about it.

I think it should be saltwater fish. Cichlid's look out if place imho

That's why it's more a Nordstrom's decoration than the La Mer's decoration :D The lady just gave a story. C'm on! "...the cream's ingredients are made from proteins from the ocean..." yet the symbolism is African cichlids!

They have someone to maintain it. ;) You should see the price tag on the stuff they sell. They do carry nice stuff, though!

I believe the one in Brea Mall also has a saltwater setup in children section as well, with some puffer and angel fish ;)

I see these types of set ups all the time, assorted Africans due to their colors and the tanks are decorated with coral pieces to try to pass them off as some knock off salt water tank.

there's a display exactly like that in the selfridges in london too..i dont like it...its a cheap imitation of sw ..not very nice..
