I just picked up one this winter. The stripers are going to kill it up here, can't wait!

what kinda did you get and what color?

I gota say, it gets pretty discouraging when you throw these a bunch of times w/ no hits..

i just have storm swim baits with the paddle tails for stripers and big LMB's also have some kick tails those work nicely

I agree with Voss. I use the large 6" Storm swim baits as they are cheap. They work great below the dam for Striper and hybrids. I have even caught gar (my largest at a guesstimate of 50"!) and flathead catfish with them!

300 bucks from that trout swim bait??!?!??! you can go buy a swimming joe which has great action fro like 15-25 bucks. ive caught a couple musky on it and a handful of pike that in the limited time i have used it.

yea im all up for quality but any lure over 20$ is an investment lol, storm swimbaits are ver useful, saltwater you can use them basically on any setup drifiting casting trolling with umbrella rigs

I'm going to buy the 8 inch Spro Silver fish swim bait. Sometime in the fall I will post my records.

This is the one I bought, same size and color. In the first picture in this thread, it's the lure second up from the bottom. The one pictured is the rainbow trout color.
The store I bought it from has a dive shop attached. The guy working in the fishing dept. had one rigged on a rod. He made some casts in the pool with it to show me the action. It looks awesome in the water! In the spring/early summer I like to use the 10" Fin-S-Fish for stripers. I think this swim bait may work even better.

post up your swimbait rod/reel and line setups guys.. This is mine

rod- st croix premier musky 7' heavy
reel- shimano corvalus 300, upgrading to the calcutta te this summer
line- 65# suffix pro braid w/ 80# mono leader

I ordered the same one in slow sink for this summer, from what I read the silver fish works better than the trout.. I also ordered a 6" castaic rock hard swimbait that just came out althought its back ordered for a few weeks.

yea good action i would never want to use it, in fear of losing it, because we have more blue fish then stripers in the sound.
