Lepisosteus Oculatus ( Spotted Gar )
Greetings!
Since I'm new here at MFK, I just wanna say that this is absolutely the best site EVER in information and documentation purposes.
Really thankful!

Here's the deal.
I bough a Lepisosteus Oculatus 3 days ago and I'll be making a documentary of its growth. How it's eating, what it's eating, and maybe I'll even give you guys some videos of him eating mice etc when he gets bigger.

He's 4" by now, and I bought him for 300kr ( 1$ = 5.2kr ) so aprox 55 dollars.
I think that's a good price for one of these little babies!
I got him in a 110Gal right now, and when he gets bigger, I'll move him to my pond.

I youtubed a video of him swimming around, and you'll be able to see that video if you click at this link.

The tank was missing plants when I recorded this video, but I assure you that it's been taking cared of.

You'll have to excuse me if I'm writing without taking notice of grammar and spelling sometimes. Since I'm Swedish, talking English isn't my best profession :naughty:

nice baby gar :D

but i think it´s a osseus (?)

Hmmm actually I don't know if it' a osseus...
the workers at the shop where I bought it said " Lespinostenus Oculattus " So I wouldn't be surprised if they gave me something else xD

One question though, I've been giving it neon tetras and they've been eaten pretty fast, but isn't it possible for me to give my Gar pellets or something?
Doesn't seem to like cichlid pellets :irked:
