so i picked up this large piece of wood the other week and wanted to see how much room it took up in a tank..

i just wanted to know what you guys would think about putting this piece in my piranha tank.. there's 6 rbp that are around 7 inches long.. im just worried about the swimming space for the Ps and dont want them to be too squished when trying to swim past the wood.. here's some pics for reference.. the 125 has the same depth as the 75 it is in now..

so do you think my wood is too big for the piranhas? lol

Please post pictures of the wood with measuring tape beside it. This makes it easier for us to visualize the actual plan.

i dont think it would be too big

A large wood like that would distract the whole purpose of a piranha tank. I have several large driftwoods myself and I am finding them more distracting.

I think it should be fine....I was almost worried to open the thread going by the title :)

i never knew having big wood was a dilemma

ok, back to acting my age now ;)

ok.. but other than it drawing attention away from the piranhas, do you think they will like it? lol i just want them to be able to move around it with little hindrance :D

The fish do not care which decorations you put in their tank. I still think it is very distracting but it should not hinder their swimming space if you put it on either sides of the tank but not the middle.

oh darn.. i was thinking about putting it smack dab in the middle :D lol

ill see how i like it in the tank and if it takes away too much ill take it out :D

thanks everyone :D keep em coming :d
