Big Yellow Perch

The old lady caught a realy big fat 14" perch yesterday and we forgot about it in the livewell until we got home. He was extremely lively and I am sure would have looked awesome in the tank, but... as soon as I mentioned putting it in the tank she killed it!!!

Women, can't live with em, can't shoot em!!!

I don't blame her for eating a perch that big, but if ti was me, I would have had it mounted

Actualy she wanted to mount it but since she already caught one a bit bigger (14.5" and extremely fat full of eggs) last winter that she is already getting mounted, I made sure to fillet this one right away!

damn...the biggest perch i have ever caught was like 10 in. out here in CO

Gunther has a Yellow Perch in his tank now, but I don't think it's that big.

That is a nice perch you have there. One of these days I WILL have one in my tank too. We have some real nice jumbos here (with the big 'football' hump). Verry cool looking. maybe I will try to find some pics of some we have caught.
