What is the largest bass you have keep or seen in a home aquarium? My taxidermist old neighbor had an eight pounder in a 300 gallon that he caught when it was 1 1/2 - 2 pounds. Grew to 8 pounds in 7 years. Wish I had pics.

my friend had a 7 pound salt water kelp bass we caught from fishing at the beach. kept it for about 4 months before it died.
i caught a 5 lb largemouth at diamond valley res. took him for a 2 hour drive home in my cooler with just my bubbler. put him in a 120 and lived wit me for over a year. i named him miracle. great wet pet. would eat anything. eventual i took him to a local catch n release only lake where i let him go. hes much happier there im sure. bass are awsomeeeeeeeeeeee

Most fish relased around me wouldnt live through the winter. As to the big bass, I have a 13" peacock probably weighs bout 2-3.5 pounds. He eats anything that hits the water, always first there too.

My LM has grown from 4" to 12" since August. Hoping the LM is female and will get up to that 8 pound mark. Feeding 3-5 times a day frozen that I make.
