Biggest cichlids for 55 gallon

Hey y’all just wanderin if you have Any ideas of a large cichlid that could go in my 55 gallon but that would be ok with large tetras and plants. Thanks.

Blue acara or rainbow cichlids depending on what plants. Geophagus pyrocephalus would work too.

Another vote for rainbow cichlids. Great fish.

Any of the convict relatives are a good fit. I like rainbows a lot too.

Those are so yesterday . Angels would work but not discus. Discus would need a wider tank.

Angels would work. I’ve seen people keep jack dempseys in 55s, though I do recommend a 75.

Any acara type as mentioned, maybe a salvini or a few fire mouths would be worth thinking about too.
