Biggest jewel you have seen?

Okay so we know no jewel in pet stores are pure. Ther are no bimaculatus or gutt sp? THey are all mixed up

what is the largest you have ever seen? If so what color was it? Back when i was a kid jewels were not neon or red they were brown and got a red throat and grew six inches. Now they are blue and neon and grow 4 inches. AM i the only person who noticed this?

Depends greatly on the species, a friend of mine collected some very red hemichromis, about 5-6" fish while other species reach 3". Now they're all mixed in the trade and have been bred for their vibrant colours which probably explains the change you've seen
