The biggest (longest) bichir known before was P. bichir but I think Polypterus congicus, specially Lake Tanganyika populations are the biggest bichir of all populations.
We can barely find any PBB over 80cm and ansorgii can reach 90cm very rarely.
But the 90cm+ specimens of tanganyikan P. congicus are already found many time in just few years after they introduced to ornamental fish industry.
