biggest pikes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That would be typically, Cren. Venezula that is suppose to top 22 inches, maybe more, Cincta's are suppose to reach 16 to 18 inches, Strigata (Sp?) is suppose to reach around 18, and lents get like 16......other Luburis Pikes usually get from between 12 to 16 inches long, in your tank, a Ven would be awesome because we could find out how big these guys really get.

Oh I almost forgot, Marms are suppose to get pretty big too.

i have two venezuelas they grow like weeds my lfs gave them to me for free for giving them alkot of business they were 2 inches when i bought them a month ago there almost 4.5 right now feed them krill, there colors arent that great however dont think there spose to look anything special

thanks John. Oh and Voss, just wait, keep feeding the Vens a healthy diet, they do color up and I actually find them attractive when grown. Very smooth looking with hits of pinks, whites and other shades on them, PLUS they are very Robust, I mean forearm sized when large.

yea these things are bulking up starting to look like mini tanks, im pretty sure they would eat 10 pieces of krill a day, they shredded my sveni's up one day too, hopefully theyll do okay with my pbass in a year

Crenicichla sp. 'venezuela' get huge, Crenicichla cincta get just about as big, with Crenicichla marmorata and Crenicichla lenticulata being just as robust and as thick. Oliver says that Crenicichla vittata can grow to be monsters, so rule them in to. Crenicichla tigrina gets rather large too, but is hella expensive and practically impossible to get...lol.

They are up there, in the 14" range, but they just don't get as thick and robust as marmorata, lenticulata, strigata, venezuela, and cincta. They are THICK and ROBUST...lol An adult marm or cincta can pretty much fit any other pikes head in their mouth...easily....
