There's alot about the baddest fish and the toughest fish people have had but what about the biggest wimps? haha. I have one oscar who I rescued from other oscars originally. Then with a smaller jack dempsey he got picked on. Then severums which I thought would be ok because they were considerably smaller, but he got picked on again. now hes alone... U
guys got stories like that?

LOL you post made me think of when i had my baby oscar in a 10 gal till he got bigger. he was 3-4 inch getting ready to go into a bigger tank when i put in 28c goldfish for him to eat :).

His first reaction was that they were on his turf and he chased one until i put the others in. He hid in his log and wouldn't come out until i took the goldfish out the next morning. Finally i put just 1 in and he ate it.

Red Bellied Piranhas are the whimpiest fish I have ever owned. O sure, they have that reputation of being man eaters, but every time I went to clean the gravel all they did was run and hide like little girly fish. Same with my payara. It is quite possibly the most vicious looking fish I have ever owned, but wouldn't fight any fish even close to its size.

...:thumbsdow

goldfish got chemicals that stunt growth (which is BAD). and are full of fat which is again bad... both will shorten your oscars life span.

feed guppies, convicts, anything else but goldfish.

I have a figure 8 puffer who although technically isn't that big is supposed to be supper aggressive. I put some black mollies in thinking that they may or may not make it throught the night about a month ago. They are still in there, have grown, and the puffer hides from them lol. They don't bother him he just won't swim near them. He's the biggest wuss in my tank and he's supposed to be the meanest lol.

I used to have a 3" three spot gourami in a tank with 2 4" oscars and a 13" red belly pacu. When I first got the pacu and the oscars I was scared they might eat the gourami (that I had owned for four years) so I planned on getting another tank for it once the pacu got larger, but instead of the pacu bullying the gourami, the gourami bullied the pacu. It didn't really bother the oscars much though. I guess because they were smaller, it didn't see them as a threat.

hahaha cool stories. My oscar is now with community fish and everything is cool. Who thought an oscar would be a good addition to a community tank.

Give him a couple months till he puts on some size, then the population in your tank will be steadily decreasing.
