I like this little yellow fish. Apparently doesn't grow too large, so I am considering it. I have a large HOB filter with purigen and all the biomedia I can pack in it, 20 gal tank, Protein Skimmer etc. 20 lbs of live rock.

Current Residents:

True Percula
Coral Beauty
Red Firefish
Green Banded Goby
Neon Goby
Cleaner Shrimp
Peppermint Shrimp
Emerald Crab
Black Crab unidentified
Arrow Crab
Sand Sifting Star

Also has a wrought iron stand, if that makes a difference. LOL

i dont know that tank sounds pretty full.
i personally would put a CB angel in anything smaller than a 30. but i've seen other people do orse and it seems to work.
what's your WC schedule like?

Water changes are 25% per week. Should I use the carbonized filter pads, or just double up on the floss?

if you don't a protien skimmer (and who does for a tank that small) if the pads have a place for the carbon to go, use it. if you have to out of your way to do it, it'll probably end up messy, and no one wants carbon in there show tank.

I do have a good protein skimmer, and the media is carbonized pad, not the media you pour in. Apparently the skimmer is rated for 65 gallons, so it should be OK for the 20. Nitrates are good, I am using 5 purigen packs too.

oh then you're fine!

another cool fish are hawkfish, or if you're up to spending the money some solar or fairy wrasses

Money isn't too much of an issue, just want to get a fish that is available at the lfs that I work part time at, I get a huge discount. Do you think the Hogfish would work with those inhabitants?

it would work as in they're all peacful and would get along
but i think that the tank ould be a little overstocked, but if your water checks out i'd say go for it.

I am going to consider it, but I think I will wait at least a month, continue to monitor water quality, and make sure the ich doesn't return.
