binox

Binox = Nitrofurazone and salt. Nitrofurazone itself is still available.

I bought Bifuran to replace Binox, but haven't used it yet, so not sure how well it works.

I've used Kanaplex for bacterial infections before, and it did the trick, but is kind of spendy compared to the other mentioned meds, as the others are easy to find larger quantities of (can buy by the KG)

Depends on type of infection.

Kanamycin worked really well on healing very infected exterior wounds on my rays discs I could see bones and the wound healed up really fast.

Nitrofurazone seems to be a staple in bacterial meds for rays these days along with oxytercycline . It's nearly impossible to diagnose rays with internal bacterial infections for average keepers like myself so blindly medicating is not recommended . Almost all of the time I've suspected an internal infection I've left it alone and never lost a ray. Over dosing or misuse of these antibiotics also can be lethal.

And finally they are very expensive and most of the time not needed and only cause more harm than good for guys like us.
