Bio Balls in a sump

I'm setting up my sump in a couple weeks and was wondering if used bio balls are okay for it. Someone on my local CL has 3x 5 gallon buckets of them and selling them for $20 per bucket. Was thinking about picking some up.

Used bioballs are ok. Just make sure you rinse them well with hot water to kill any bacteria and parasites in them

Nothing wrong with used bio balls.

I would soak them in bleach 10/50 over night , then rinse real good then soak in Prime over night.

Rinse them in cold water, and reuse.
