I need more Bio filtration, in both my canisters and HOB and i have extra bio balls laying around. i'm trying not to spend money on cermaics right now and would like to put these bio balls to use.

will the bio balls be benificial in my ac110 and my fx5?

Howdy,

Bioballs have a surface area of 160 sq ft/cubic ft.
Modern biomedia has > 135000 sq ft/cubic ft.

You do the math and decide what's better and where you want to cut corners and go cheap
