I probably missed it but what pump are you going with for the skimmer?

I talked to the guys at reeflo and decided to run two barracudas in line for the skimmer, running two of these uses less watts than running a high pressure manta ray by itself.

are you sure that the barracudas have enough head pressure for ETSS skimmers ? From what I know about these type of skimmers you would be better off running 2 Panworld 200's or Iwaki 70s or equivilent. I would listen to the ETSS guys before Reeflo. ETSS recomends a 1/2 - 3/4 high pressure pump. There is a 1/2hp Little giant 5.5 pump on Craigslist for 150.00 , it pumps 2200 gph and has a head rating of 40 something feet. It draw 445 watt at full load which wont happen on a skimmer because of the back pressure of the towers or injector.

The etss 2500 requires 2500 gph at 10 psi, the person I spoke to at reeflo said running one barricuda into another would work. I already have the pumps ordered so hopefully it does, the barricuda is a 1/4 hp pump and running them in line should make it a 1/2 hp. hopefully it works right otherwise I guess I will have two barracuda pumps for sale real soon lol, but I still wanna hear peoples opinions on it, so feel free to let me know what you guys think.
thanks

Are you talking 1 pump per tower? 2 seperate inlets? If they said you can run both pumps tied together to get your psi increased they are wrong, a pump that puts out 5 psi tied to another of the same wont make a difference other than more flow so hopefully those pumps put out 10 psi. What did ETSS say? I just went through this with Little Giant pumps.
